The minors in this case constituted a sibling group who removed from the parents at the same time. The trial court terminated services at the 12 month review hearing and set a 366.26 hearing. The appellate court here granted a writ and remanded to the juvenile court to set a new review hearing where the court could consider the factors listed in section 366.21 , subdivision (e), including the strength of the sibling bond, the appropriateness of maintaining the sibling group together, the detriment to each child if sibling ties were not maintained, etc. The clear purpose of the statutory provisions, which were not complied with here, is to give the court flexibility to maintain a sibling group together in a permanent home.
