Name: In re G.R.
Case #: B332699
Division: 8
Opinion Date: 20241025
Summary

Alleged father lacked standing to challenge supervised visitation order. The Agency became involved with the family in 2017, at which time R.R. was found to be an alleged father. R.R. never elevated his status. In 2023, the juvenile court ordered a legal guardianship for the minor and supervised visitation for Mother and R.R. Following R.R.’s appeal of the orders, the reviewing court dismissed the appeal for lack of standing. An alleged father has no right to custody, reunification services, or visitation. Only a party aggrieved by a court order may appeal it. The trial court’s order of supervised visitation for R.R., to which he was not entitled, did not confer an interest to him and thus, he did not have standing to appeal the order.
