A box cutter does not constitute a razor with an unguarded blade for purposes of Penal Code section 626.10, subdivision (a). The minor in this case was found in possession of a box cutter with a guarded blade. Section 626.10, subdivision (a), prohibits possession on school grounds of several types of blades, including razors with unguarded blades, but does not mention guarded blades. The court thus “reluctantly” concluded that possession of a box cutter on school grounds was not prohibited by the statute.
