Penal Code section 2962, subdivision (e)(2)(P) permits a mentally disordered offender finding based on any crime in which the offender used force or violence, including force or violence against an animal. Here appellant’s prior conviction for violation of Penal Code section 597, subdivision (a), cruelty to an animal, qualified as such an offense where he caused a 10-inch laceration to a dog’s neck.
