Appellant unlawfully took his children in 1989 from the United States to Serbia, and was convicted of unlawfully taking them in Serbia in 1992. The children were not returned to their mother until 1995. The appellate court held the state double jeopardy clause did not prevent prosecution for concealment (Pen. Code, sec. 278.5) of the children from 1992 to 1995.
