Name: People v. Salstrom
Case #: C102342
Opinion Date: 20251229
Subsequent History: Review granted 3/11/26 (S295038)
Summary

The trial court erred by reimposing a restitution fine more than 10 years after its original imposition date. Ten years after a PC 1202.4(b) restitution fine is imposed, the balance shall be uncollectable, and any portion of judgment imposing those fines shall be vacated. (PC 1465.9.) The 10-year clock does not reset because the appellant is resentenced.
