Defendant was serving a determinate sentence of 27 years, 8 months, to be followed by two consecutive indeterminate life terms with the possibility of parole. He was “undergoing a life sentence” as defined by Penal Code section 4500 (assault by a life prisoner) during the alleged assault on another prisoner.
