The Court of Appeal remanded for resentencing (1) in light of Assembly Bill No. 518, which amended Penal Code section 654 to give trial courts the discretion to choose the count on which to impose punishment (instead of having to choose the one that provided for the longest potential term of imprisonment), (2) because the trial court’s oral pronouncement of the appellant’s sentence was insufficiently specific, and (3) to reduce the court operations and court facilities assessments to reflect the correct amount of the appellant’s convictions.
