Exceptions to Adoption

This was an appeal from the juvenile court’s orders terminating parental rights and freeing the minor for adoption. Because the juvenile court did not fully consider the appropriate factors when determining whether the beneficial parental relationship exception to adoption applied here, the court reversed and remanded for further proceedings, including compliance with the Indian Child Welfare Act.
