Habitual Offender/667.7

After a jury convicted appellant, the trial court sentenced him pursuant to the “habitual offender” provisions in Penal Code section 667.7 and also imposed a consecutive determinate term for three sentence enhancements. The Court of Appeal held that section 667.7 precludes imposition of enhancements in addition to a habitual offender sentence. The court modified the sentence to strike the enhancements.
