What is a user profile?
A user profile is information we have on file for purposes of website access. The only profile information we retain on the website is a working email (to send password information) and your full name. In order to verify current CAC panel membership during the registration process, we request a person’s State Bar number and panel membership information, but we do not maintain this information on Capcentral.org.
How do I get to the videos?
You can follow the instructions on the How to Access Training Videos webpage to get to the training videos. Additionally, here is a direct link to the Request Access to Protected Content webpage.
Can I earn MCLE credit for watching a training video?
MCLE video presentations filmed within the last five years and posted on this website qualify for self-study MCLE credit. (Rules of State Bar, rules 2.51(G), 2.83(A), https://www.calbar.ca.gov/Portals/0/documents/rules/Rules_Title2_Div4-MCLE.pdf.) The website lists the date a video was recorded so an attorney can determine if the presentation is eligible for self-study MCLE credit. The self-study MCLE credits available for each video are also listed.
For each MCLE compliance period, an attorney may claim up to 12.5 hours of self-study credit. (Rules of State Bar, rules 2.72(B)(2)(a), 2.83.) For self-study MCLE credit, attorneys are responsible for keeping track of their own time. The State Bar provides a template for logging your MCLE credit hours here: https://www.calbar.ca.gov/Portals/0/documents/forms/mcle/MCLE-Personal-Log_ADA.pdf.
Please note we have also included a number of videos that were filmed over five years ago that address timeless foundational appellate practice matters. Any training posted on this website that was not filmed within the last five years does not qualify for self-study MCLE credit. Any training posted on this website that does not include the date the video was recorded does not qualify for self-study MCLE credit.
What should I do if I forgot my username?
The website allows you to log in using either a username or email address. If you forgot both the username and the email address associated with your user profile, please email resources@capcentral.org and we will email the information to you.

How do I change the password or email address associated with my user profile?

You can also reset your password by following the steps in the answer to How can I reset my password if I forgot it?
How do I change my username?

Can I stop or pause a video?
Yes. You can pause a video or log out and return later to complete watching it. If you note the time elapsed when you stopped the presentation, you can use the scroll bar at the bottom of the video screen to advance the feed to where you left off.
Can I click on a document while watching a video?

Can I download the video to watch it later?
No. In the current version of the site, downloads are not possible.
Can I share videos to watch with other attorneys?
No, this site is intended for individual training and viewing by members of the CAC program. Do not share your login information with other people.
